"One good idea — a hundred metres of tunnel with sharks and rays gliding overhead — surrounded by a fairly tired aquarium. With children it lands well, especially timed to a feeding show; on your own you'll be out in forty minutes wondering about the ticket price. Its real value is being cold and indoors when the afternoon heat becomes unbearable."

Underwater World Pattaya is an indoor public aquarium built around a 100-metre walk-through tunnel where sharks, rays and colourful fish glide overhead. Fully air-conditioned, it makes an easy escape from the afternoon heat, with feeding shows and diver interactions timed through the day. A separate reptile section adds snakes and lizards to the mix.
