The 12th LOMA Run brings over 3,000 runners and supporters to Dongtan and Jomtien beaches at sunrise — a 10km mini marathon (1,300 places) and a 5km fun run (700 places), run with Pattaya City and TAT in aid of underprivileged children's education through the HHN Foundation for Thai Children. Race morning runs 4:30am to 9am at Dongtan Land. Bib and shirt collection is the day before at LOMA EXPO 2026, Saturday 19 September, 10:30am to 7pm at the Jomtien Palm Beach Hotel. Expect partial road closures around Jomtien Beach Road on the Sunday.

A one-off minibus run down the coast to Maggie Mays in Ban Chang. The 33rd Pattaya Marathon, World Athletics certified — 21,727 runners from 58 countries, with followers and supporters taking the crowd close to 40,000 and an expected 300 million baht going through the city. Saturday has the 10K and 4.5K family run; Sunday brings the full marathon and half. Start and finish at Terminal 21, with the course running along Beach Road. Roads close and reopen in stages across the 26th and 27th, so plan journeys around it.

Illenium headlines alongside W&W, Argy, Ben Nicky and back-to-back sets from Slander b2b NGHTMRE and Adam Beyer b2b Chris Avantgarde. BITEC Bangna is the near side of Bangkok — about ninety minutes up the motorway and worth the trip.

The third Pattaya tattoo festival brings Thai and international artists to Royal Garden Plaza for two days of live tattooing, competitions and trophies, exhibitions and after-parties. Walk in and watch, or book an artist on the day.

October's keelboat and dinghy racing weekend off Jomtien from Ocean Marina. Free to watch from the breakwater and marina bars, with the fleet and crews back in for food and drinks afterwards.

Nine days of jay food across the city — yellow flags go up over hundreds of stalls and the markets fill with vegan Thai-Chinese cooking you can’t get the rest of the year. The Sawang Boriboon foundation and shrine in Naklua is the centre of it, with the main procession setting off from there along Sawang Fa Road and through Naklua market. Published dates vary by a day or two between sources across 9–20 October, so check locally before planning around the procession.
