About this guide

A hand-picked guide to Pattaya, kept by someone who actually lives here.

I'm Rob. I live on Pratumnak Hill, the quiet green ridge between Pattaya and Jomtien, and I've spent years working out which places in this town are genuinely worth your time and which are tourist traps dressed up with good photos. This site is where I write it all down.

Most "things to do in Pattaya" pages are aggregators — endless listings, star-spam, and whatever paid to sit at the top. This isn't that. Every place here is one I've been to and would send a friend to. Each gets my honest take, the practical details that actually matter (when to go, what to skip, how to avoid the heat and the crowds), and a summary of what other visitors consistently say. If it's on the site, I vouch for it. There's no pay-to-play and no filler.

Rob's Picks

The Rob's Picks are the standouts — the handful of places I take my own guests. Everything else is still hand-chosen and worth a look; the picks are simply the ones I'd insist you don't miss.

What's on this week

Alongside the guide there's a live events calendar — parties, live music, festivals, markets and more, pulled together from local sources and refreshed daily, with anything that's already finished dropping off automatically. It's the page I use myself to plan the week.

Where it's written

Everything here is curated from Pratumnak, on the ground in Pattaya — not rewritten from a desk on the other side of the world. If a place changes, closes, or a new spot is worth adding, this is a living guide and it gets updated. Found something great, or something out of date? That's exactly the kind of local knowledge that keeps this useful.
