The two big water parks are Ramayana, which bills itself as the largest in the country, and Aquaverse — the Columbia Pictures park that older guides still call Cartoon Network Amazone, since it was rebuilt under new branding rather than replaced. Against those, the water park at the foot of Pattaya Park Tower is plainer and older, but cheaper and far quieter, and it is the only one actually inside the city. The rest are a mix of miniature parks, cultural grounds and animal attractions, several of which reward a weekday visit when they are close to empty.

“The cheap and cheerful one, and the only water park actually in town — plainer and visibly older than Ramayana or Aquaverse, with some slides shut and rust on the stairs. What it has over them is the location and the price: walk out to Dongtan beach and come back in on the same ticket. Fine for an afternoon with small children.”
