Koh Kood

★ 4.7 (885 reviews) 🏍️ Road Trips 📍 Trat ⭐ Rob's Pick

Rob's take

"The pick of the eastern islands, and the one I'd happily travel five hours for — white sand, clear water, waterfalls inland and almost no cars. It's ferry-only from Trat with no public transport on the island at all, so hire a motorbike the moment you arrive. Go in the dry season, allow three nights minimum, and accept that it will spoil Pattaya's beaches for you."

Koh Kood is a road-trip destination in Trat, within the greater Pattaya area of Chon Buri, Thailand, and one of Rob's picks on this guide. It's rated 4.7★ on Google.

Koh Kood (Ko Kut) is Thailand's fourth-largest island, reached only by ferry from Trat province. Reviewers rate it well above the busier southern islands for calm: fine white-sand beaches, clear water, inland waterfalls and almost no cars beyond local taxis. There are no public buses, so most visitors hire a motorbike to reach the beaches, viewpoints and sunset spots.
