Adventure & Adrenaline Activities in Pattaya

What are the best adventure and adrenaline activities in Pattaya?

Twelve adventure and adrenaline activities in and around Pattaya, Thailand, compared on rating, price and area. Enduro Madness Dirt Bike Tours is the highest rated at 4.9★ from 461 Google reviews, with Pattaya Jungle ATV Ride close behind at 4.9★. They spread across Pattaya (4), Na Chom Thian (3) and Pong (2).

Pattaya is unusually well supplied with things that go fast. Karting is the obvious one — three outdoor tracks within a few minutes of each other, which is more than most cities several times the size manage — but the real range is off-road. Guided ATV, buggy and dirt-bike tours run out of the hills east and south of town, on trails you would never find alone, and they grade rides by ability rather than putting everyone round the same loop. Bear in mind that the grading runs optimistic: the novice tours still catch out riders who have never been off tarmac. The rest splits into things done from a height, like the bungy tower and the zip-line course at Na Jomtien, and things done on water, at the cable wake park out at Nong Pla Lai. Almost all of it sits ten to twenty minutes outside the beach strip, so hire a car or a bike, and ring ahead — several of these are small operations that close without updating their hours.

  1. 1Enduro Madness Dirt Bike Tours

    ★ 4.9 (461) · Pong

“The real thing, and graded harder than the website lets on — their novice ride still means steep climbs and a fair few falls, so book a level below your instinct if you've only ever ridden on tarmac. The guides pick you up and fix the bike, and gear, lockers and a meal are included. If bikes aren't your thing, the same base runs ATV and buggy tours on the same trails.”

  2. 2Pattaya Jungle ATV Ride

    ★ 4.9 (43) · Bang Sare

“Small, new, and run by people who clearly ride themselves — ATVs, buggies and electric karts in genuinely good order, with a guide out on the trail beside you. Ask for the experienced route if you can handle it, because the easy loop won't trouble anyone. It's twenty-five minutes south towards Bang Sare, and worth ringing ahead to check they're running.”

  3. 3Pattaya Paintball Park

    ★ 4.9 (297) · Na Chom Thian

“The best value on this list by a distance: a hundred balls with no time limit, and the staff will fold you into a local team if you turn up as a pair. The gel guns take the sting out of it for younger kids. It's out towards Na Jomtien, and it has been known to be shut on a day the posted hours say open, so ring before you get in a taxi.”

  5. 5Easykart Go-Karting (Bali Hai)

    ★ 4.6 (4,136) · Pattaya

“Two tracks by the pier, and the 800-metre one is the reason to come: proper elevation changes and a mix of fast and slow corners, where the little 300-metre loop is really only a warm-up. Eight minutes a race isn't cheap, so go once and go on the big track. Wear closed shoes or they'll charge you for a pair, and the long circuit needs you to be 15 and 150cm.”

  6. 6Thai Sky Adventures

    ★ 4.6 (1,087) · Nong Kham

“A tandem jump from 13,000 feet over the coast, and the one genuinely once-in-a-lifetime thing on this site — it's the canopy ride down over the gulf that people remember, not the freefall. Pay for the video package, because you won't be taking much of it in yourself. Budget another 500 baht at the office for fuel and insurance, which isn't shown when you book online.”

  7. 7Thai Wake Park Pattaya

    ★ 4.6 (386) · Nong Pla Lai

“Cable wakeboarding twenty minutes east of town, and the low-speed sessions make it a fair first go for children and for anyone who has never stood up on a board. Don't expect much coaching beyond the basics, and the water is never clear. Give it an afternoon rather than an hour, because it takes a few laps before your first proper run clicks and there's food on site.”

  8. 8Xbungy Pattaya Bungy Jump

    ★ 4.5 (437) · Pattaya

“A small, personal operation rather than a slick one, and Mark, who runs it, will wait out the rain rather than push you off in it. The video of your jump is included, which most places charge extra for. I'd skip the human slingshot at 1,400 baht for the two minutes you get and put the money towards a second jump instead.”

  9. 9Bira Circuit

    ★ 4.4 (1,267) · Pong

“Come here for the karting — a genuine outdoor track, not the shuffle-round-a-warehouse kind, and quiet enough midweek that you'll get plenty of laps. It's a 20-minute run out towards the motorway, so pair it with something else nearby rather than making a special trip. Check ahead: race-day events sometimes close the karts.”

  10. 10Pattaya Kart Speedway

    ★ 4.4 (1,342) · Pattaya

“The karts genuinely shift, but the track is short enough that the fastest one is wasted on it — take the 500-baht standard kart and you'll get just as much out of it. Overalls are supplied, which saves you cooking in the sun. Ask what the tyres and the water hazard cost before you go out, because damage is charged and the prices aren't published anywhere.”

  11. 11Pattaya Shooting Park

    ★ 4.3 (192) · Pattaya

“A calmer place than it sounds, set around a lake, with instructors who take the safety briefing seriously and enough English at the desk to make it straightforward. Fifty rounds through a 9mm is the usual first go, and there's an archery section for anyone in the group who would rather not shoot. Turn up rather than email, because bookings there have gone unanswered.”

  12. 12Tarzan Adventure Pattaya

    ★ 4.3 (437) · Na Chom Thian

“Take the 15-platform course rather than the full 25: the long one is more exhausting than exciting and most people have had enough well before the end. The guides clip you on with two hooks and stay with you throughout, which matters, because the towers flex underfoot. Pay the 100 baht for the finishing photo, and give the elephant rides on the same site a miss.”
