Bang Saray is the old fishing village just south of Pattaya that's become a favourite quiet-day escape. The working harbour still lands the catch, and the strip of seafood restaurants along the front is the main draw — fresh, cheap and eaten with your feet almost in the sand.
It's an easy pairing with the nearby Na Chom Thian attractions (Khao Chi Chan and the water parks are close), or a slow lunch-and-a-stroll trip in its own right.
The disqualifier is simple: there are no go-go bars and no nightclubs here, and that is exactly why people come. Bang Saray is a fishing village that happens to have very good seafood restaurants along its front, and the evening ends early.
